The Footman
Strings have been pulled for young carpenter Barry Else to be employed at
Stanton Hall, the family seat of the Duke of Albermarle.
After being asked to act as a footman at a dinner hosted by
the Duke, Barry overhears a plot to over through the British government.
After leaving the Duke’s employ, Barry accepts an offer to work for
Archie Moss helping to renovate the Swan Hotel.
When retired intelligence analyst Mrs Giles moves in for “security reasons,”
Barry tells her what he overheard at the dinner, leading to a series of events
with unpredictable and deadly consequences.
